We were at the Annual AAAS Meeting 2020 ‘Envisioning Tomorrow’s Earth’

Last month, Climate-fit.City participated to the AAAS (American Association for the Advancement of Sciences) Annual Meeting 2020 in Seattle ‘Envisioning Tomorrow's Earth’.

Climate-fit.City resources can help decision makers understand better how climate change will impact their cities, and design adapted solutions to this threat.

The need for urban-centric strategies is crucial, as cities are impacted differently by climate change than less urbanised areas. Elements such as the urban heat island effect, and close coupling of critical infrastructure systems can make cities more vulnerable to the effects of shifting weather patterns.

Filip Lefebre from VITO represented us at the EU booth, presenting and discussing Climate-fit.City data and tools to participants.
