RegionsAdapt 2017 Report: Regions Accelerating Climate Change Adaptation

The RegionsAdapt was created as the first global initiative backing regional governments in climate adaptation. The aim was to balance adaptation with mitigation at the international stage, stressing the importance of regional governments as actors within the global adaptation agenda.

This initiative has recently celebrated its second anniversary, a landmark that also represents the conclusion of the first implementation phase for its founding members.

In this context, the Network of Regional Governments for Sustainable Development (nrg4SD) announces that a new report will be published: “RegionsAdapt 2017 Report: Regions Accelerating Climate Change Adaptation”. The report offers an overview of how 35 regional governments, disclosing through CDP’s states and regions platform in 2017, are addressing climate risks and taking adaptation actions, a brief assessment of the initiative’s first two years of existence, and an outline of the envisaged future for RegionsAdapt.

Be there on 7 February, 3:30-5:00pm GMT for the webinar to launch the new report. Registrations available at this link: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/1206906813993483009  After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.
